From the Orana Site Team: Caring for Our Campus

Sep 10, 2026 9:05 AM

There is always something happening behind the scenes to care for and continually maintain and improve Orana’s 32-acre campus.

As the warmer weather arrives, the grounds are beginning to transform. Blossom and wattle are coming into bloom keeping the bees busy, while the delicate scent of violets across the Lower Primary campus is a particular delight at this time of year.

Our Site Team have also been busy preparing the grounds for the season ahead. The garden beds in the Amphitheatre have recently been renewed and replanted, while new edging along the external pathways is nearing completion.

Inside the school, the Cedar Room renovation is now complete, creating a refreshed and welcoming space.

These may seem like small changes, but together they reflect the ongoing care and attention that goes into maintaining an environment where children can learn, explore and feel a sense of belonging.

A reminder for parents that the surrounding roads of our campus is a 40km/h zone. Last week police were spotted in area with some parents issued speeding fines. This is unfortunate but also a reminder that child safety comes first and to slow down and take caution on our surrounding roads.

From our classrooms and gardens to pathways, buildings and shared spaces, the Site Team work continuously behind the scenes to improve our environment, with care, safety and the wellbeing of our students at the heart of their hard work.
