Year 8 Shakespear Main Lesson

At Orana, when our high school students use technology for their learning, it is always purposeful, targeted and relevant while still adhering to Steiner pedagogy that emphasises discovery and creativity.

As part of their Shakespeare Main Lesson, Year 8 students were asked to recreate Shakespeare's famous Globe Theatre, using Minecraft Education Edition. 

Whilst some guidance was given by Jeffrey, students were tasked with researching, developing and planning their re-creation individually or in small groups. Leaders emerged organically as various trial and error methods were applied. Soon, students had a variety of recreations of Shakespeare's famous stage.
