Year 11 English Main Lesson

During our recent Year 11 English Main Lesson, students have been studying the Shakespeare play 'Othello'. As part of this study, after much in-depth exploration of scenes, quotes and literature analysis, students were tasked with using the water colour medium to present a facet of the titular character.
The purpose of the activity was to gauge student understanding of jealousy and anger, and how these strong emotions can erode confidence and self-perception.
Orana students performed admirably, using symbols such as pedestals, worms and mirrors in their works.
Jeffrey, the administering English teacher, was very proud!
