Invitation to Participate
Dear parents, caregivers, current students, alumni and Orana Staff,
My name is Gabe, and I'm a Year 12 student who has been at Orana since Early Childhood.
As part of my Year 12 Project, I'm organising a whole-school art exhibition, and I'd love for you to be part of it.
The art exhibition will be held Sunday 1 November Orana Spring Fair.

What's the project about?
I'm inviting anyone from Orana's community to create an artwork responding to the statement: "What Orana means to me". It could be a drawing, painting, print, photograph, collage, or a short piece of creative writing - whatever feels right.
What happens with the artwork?
All submitted pieces will be part of a special art exhibition held at Orana Steiner School.
Optional Silent Auction
Artists may choose to include their artwork in the exhibition's silent auction.
Participation is completely optional. Artists who choose to participate will retain an agreed percentage of the sale, with the remaining proceeds helping to support exhibition costs and future arts initiatives at Orana.
Who can participate?
Everyone in the Orana community is welcome, this includes:
- Kindergarten to Year 12 students
- Staff
- Parents and carers
- Alumni
Exhibition Date
Sunday 1 November Orana Spring Fair.
Artwork Submission Deadline
Friday 28 August 2026.

A cause close to my heart - Supporting Dylan
I want to be open about why the auction matters so much this year.
A dear friend of mine, Dylan, has been fighting osteosarcoma for a few years. Dylan and I have known each other since preschool; he was part of this community too. His situation has become more serious recently, and I've felt a strong need to do something that might help him and his family, even in a small way.
I've known Dylan since we were tiny, and I've learned through this that you never know how long you have with someone. I want this project to be about gratitude, about loving the people around us, and about coming together as a community to share thoughts when it counts. Thank you for reading, and for any support you can give.
Community members who would like to support Dylan and his family can make a donation via the GoFundMe link provided with the Registration and Submission Forms. Every contribution helps ease the financial burden, allowing Dylan and his family to focus on spending precious time together.
