Orana School is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational school with more than 600 students

Orana is part of the world-wide educational  movement known as "Steiner" or Waldorf" schools, comprising of more than 900 schools. At Orana, we provide an environment that serves the freedom of the human spirit by emphasising the balanced and disciplined education of the child as a whole being.

We offer a comprehensive and caring educational environment from Kindergarten to Year 12 based on Rudolf Steiner’s indications, and our committed teachers are supported by an involved community that shares responsibility for their children’s development.

Orana School is situated in Weston, 5 km south of the centre of Canberra. Starting in 1981 with four students in rented premises, Orana has since grown to occupy its own site with comprehensive facilities for over 640 students from pre-kindergarten to Class 12 and some 55 teachers.
